EU Authorised Representative for high-risk AI systems.

If your AI system falls under Annex III of the EU AI Act and you are established outside the European Union, Article 22 requires you to appoint an EU-established Authorised Representative before placing the system on the market. SecureFound assumes that mandate.

Article 22 applies where your AI system is listed under Annex III of the EU AI Act. The Annex covers eight categories of use cases that have a significant impact on health, safety, or fundamental rights.

AI used by law enforcement for risk assessment, polygraphs, evidence reliability, profiling — within permitted uses.

Risk assessment for migration, polygraphs at borders, examination of asylum and visa applications.

Justice & democratic processes

AI assisting judicial authorities in researching and applying law to facts; AI influencing voting behaviour.

Article 22 obligations

    10-year custody

    Maintain provider contact details, DoC, technical documentation, certifications at the disposal of competent authorities.

    Provide reasoned-request documentation, cooperate with national market surveillance authorities, support risk mitigation.

    Article 49 registration

    Assist with the EU database registration and ensure information accuracy.
